Here's an article about the technology.
quote:

The 49ers are defending NFC champions, so 68,500 fans will inevitably walk into the stadium for each game. And every single one of them will be able to connect to the wireless network, simultaneously, without any limits on uploads or downloads. Smartphones and tablets will run into the limits of their own hardware long before they hit the limits of the 49ers' wireless network.

Should be pretty nice. Those saying it looks terrible should see Candlestick. Huge upgrade from what they had.

San Francisco 49ers, now playing nearly 100 miles away from San Francisco. lol

Worse than the 40 miles from South Beach to Miami Gardens.

Never heard anyone mention Santa Clara as a destination. That superbowl is going to be hell getting from place to place.

Looks like it is very heavy on suites. Smart move.

Who the hell cares about the "greatness" of wifi at a NFL stadium.... you are there to watch football... not fiddle faddle on your phone/tablet.

Probably thinking of the future because this isn't that big of a deal right now.

Wow. That thing sucks. It really looks like the aftermath of bleachers collapsing in an earthquake.

The oddness and "offset" stuff isn't unique, it is just stupid.

It's a good part of town and far enough to where it won't make a difference.

So they plan on letting people watch games live for free? Seems to me those stairs allow people to come and catch a free viewing. Crappy looking stadium if you ask me.
