What movie do you wish you were in and why? And I'm not talking about a specific role but more of specific time in history.

I'd love to be in Dazed and Confused to see what it was like on the last day of school in 1976. No worries, hanging out and partying till the sun came up. I love watching that movie just for the simplicty and care free attitude of the time.

I can't imagine doing some of those things today without being sued, arrested or shot.

Goonies.

Do I really need to explain why?

The lost boys. Frog brothers wouldn't have gotten me and I miss being in my early 20s with long hair.

I'd have had a bunch of chicks that were vampires instead of dudes though. Sounds good on paper.

Aliens.

The next colonial stage in human history is colonization of the stars. I want to be an adventurer on the next frontier. I just hope that I don't run into any xenomorphs.

ETA: Maybe Star Trek would be a better example (safer), but I've never really been into the shows or movies.

I can't really think of a movie but I would have loved to live during the time of the rise of the big band jazz. Like Basie Duke and some of the other greats. It would be amazing to see one of those bands live and in person.

I graduated HS in 1976. It really was not all that idyllic.

Honestly, it would be interesting to visit some time period in the past but there are none of them that I'd rather live in than the present.

An adventure movie seemed like it would be nice. Something like a movie that was based on Clive Owen's Sir Walter Raleigh in Elizabeth: The Golden Age (2007). That sounded fun until I remembered how tough The New World (2005) showed that period to be. Probably be my fate to be Spanish get stuck with Don Lope de Aguirre.

As long as I was royalty or at least an aristocrat, something like the Amadeus, one of the Elizabeth movies or the pre-French Revolution part of History of the World might be fun. I'd die young from a head chopping or with some venereal disease but "It's good to be the king."

I would love to see what the moon breaking apart would be like and it's aftermath
