It was pathetic. People left at a 21-0 game AFTER it stopped raining. Student section was a joke.

Look at what happened after the Rutgers students did the same thing against Arkansas. Be true to your school!!!!!

We've changed as a fanbase over the years. We are spoiled and corporate. Businesses hoard tickets to give away to clients who aren't even real fans. Season-holders go mainly to make an appearance. That is primary and the game is secondary.

This may be mostly true however there are people who leave for different reasons that may be beyond their control and most of the people complaining would idiotically group them all in the same category. However, those people spend good money to get their tickets also and what the pay for doesn't include you judging them. If I and my wife were only able to make the first half, then that is our business. Would I have liked to have made the whole game? Sure. But it didn't work out. This does not make me less of a fan or less deserving of my tickets, though.

Let's see up 21-0 at the half, bad Alburn team, raining all day, poured all first halft, and then it got cold.

Some of y'all need to relax about the 3 hours you spend in stadium being the most cherished of your week.

Anyone leaving early should have TAF points deducted. Problem solved.

Don't use logic. Please stop. You're making people look dumb.

I do agree with you. It is your ticket and you're at liberty to do with it what you will.

However, what I find troubling is it's starting to become part of the culture. You having to leave at halftime due to those circumstances should make you in the minority. shite happens I understand. But it has become widely accepted to leave at halftime no matter the opponent or score.

Going to Tiger Stadium is akin to going for a stroll in the park for too many people, for whatever reason.

There were plenty of tickets available before the game for all of you who want to judge. If you didn't go to the game, then it's because you really didn't want to but only wanted to bitch in a thread.

I now know why they say it never rains in tiger stadium. No one is around to know it's raining.

I know the Bama game last year was empty at half time so was the ole miss game.

Give me a game where we aren't beating the other team like a red headed stepchild at the half and you will see a full stadium.

I live far, far away from Death Valley now so I only get to visit once a year. I had clients over tonight to watch the game and was a bit embarrassed. I could not believe the crowd was so sparse. To me, when you have a guy proclaiming that it NEVER RAINS IN DEATH VALLEY, it means that even if it really IS raining we'll pretend like it isn't and ALL show up for the home SEC opener. Apparently at least 40K did NOT get the message.

Sad, but all that does is prove that LSU fans, as great as they think they are, are no better than any other group of college fans out there, possibly worse. What's funny is ESPN doesn't call out fans of other universities for leaving, but it sure happened tonight on national television. So, what we've done in the media's eyes is finally relegated ourselves to where we should be.....run of the mill college football fans like Ole Miss.

I stopped entertaining business clients at Tiger Stadium. I get asked quite a bit about the atmosphere and the mystique (since all they read are SVP type articles and some of the lore), and I have to remind them that it really isn't any different than a regular college game. People leave like they do everywhere else, it isn't unique save for Mike and some of the pregame tailgating. Was tired of having their expectations of something higher ruined, and it tended to sour any sort of business meeting for the upcoming week. I've started to try to go to entertain at more Saints games as a result. Much better luck there (from an amenities standpoint obviously).

It's pretty easy to criticize when you were hadn't been getting rained on all day, were soaking wet, and watching a game that for the most part was decided in the first quarter.

I really do think half of you on this site are just mentally handicapped. Up 21-0 at half when everyone is soaked and its getting cold. I think most people want to go home and enjoy the rest of the night.

As a season ticket holder for over 40 years and one that has to travel to every home game, I will NEVER understand this.
