Truth. Way better than that 'He stopped loving her today' nonsense. Close second would have to be the Oak Ridge Boys 'Bobbie Sue' or Louise Mandrell's big hit about Ms Goldie Chicken.

Just a terrible attempt at music (I assume that is the intent).

Dude has a one night stand with a chick in BR, and whines about having to call her at every stop. And this is played at a football game because it just happens to have BR in it? Good grief that's dumb. It's worse than using Song 2 or the Darth Vader Imperial March.

If 5,000 people in the stadium know the complete lyrics, I'd be impressed. Then consider 5,000/92,000+

f**k that song and louisiana saturday night song too.
I'm not a fan of country music, but those two songs don't bother me at all.

Never heard the SVP radio sound bite, eh?

However, I have no love for Louisiana Saturday Night.

They can play "Louisiana Rain" by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers tomorrow night.

Terrible song. Just awful. It's cheesy like all of the phony reality shows coming out of LA.

You're joking, right? I was actually chiming in to say that it's WAY past time for that song to go away. The only part that makes sense is the "Looziana Sat'rdy Night", the rest is just an anthem for perpetuating the myth that we're all backwards, illiterate rednecks. "Hey, for a good time, me and my brothers get together with our 15 kids at my house on Saturdays and ketch possums wit' my one-eyed dog, dance a little, then work on having more kids that I can't afford."

"Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting" fits perfectly. And they should find an excuse this weekend to play "The Ecstasy of Gold" with a video of LSU dominating Auburn in Tiger Stadium, including the Earthquake game and all of the licks that Landry laid on those punks in 2011.

(of course, even Elton John says his sister looks cute in her braces and boots, so I guess that songs kind of jacked up too. Still love it, though!)

No, I'm not. It's a much better song. There is nothing good about Calling Baton Rouge. BTW, I used to catch possums.
