A bipartisan majority in the house voted to fund the government today. Let's see how serious the Senate is about funding our government.

Yeah you can look at it like that if you want to. But most people see it for what it is.

so, you agree that a bill was passed to fund the government? now, if the senate (dems) refuse to vote on this bill to fund the government, it is the republicans that are shutting down the government?

No, I'm saying the purpose of that provision is to give another tax cut to the wealthy, not to ensure people have health insurance.

ANY tax cut is considered this way by those that pay ZERO taxes.

Or do you think it's an opportunity to refresh the "look who voted for Obamacare" commercials?

Something the dems who voted for obamacare should relish in. They should be happy to get the extra publicity for voting for such a fine piece of legislation that the american people want and that they can be proud of.

Unless you are saying, that pointing out who voted for the law during the next election cycle could have a negative impact on those that voted on it?

Do you really think it would pass in the senate? Or do you think it's an opportunity to refresh the "look who voted for Obamacare" commercials?

I think a lot of senators would have to choose between towing the party line and pissing off their constituents, and I think that's a good thing.
