I'm a girl.
The brothers in Arcade Fire are long-time family friends. I'm not knighting for anyone, if they were pieces of shite, I would be the first to acknowledge it. I don't give a shite if anyone thinks I'm cool. This is a music discussion board, I have friends who are musicians, and you come in with this weak shite that you "heard" AF are dicks...I do know them, and I do know that's not true.
I also AM friends with Okkervil. What's wrong with wanting to see my friends play a big festival? Next time I'll just say "my friends are playing". Is that better?

I skipped it this year. The lineup looked pretty terrible. I usually don't care much for headliners anyway, but these were the least appealing in memory. And the "down program" bands, the ones you actually see during during, didn't have too many must sees. There were a few bands I wanted to see, but not enough to justify the price tag.
I bought Fun Fun Fun tickets instead. Cheaper, less crowded, and more bands I really wanted to see, especially during the day. And a taco cannon. I far prefer FFF to ACL at this point, as my Austin music festival of choice.
