Funny that Miles and Gundy are there for Texas with the current conundrum about the Pokes.

Nick Saban isn't going to leave, but you have to ask yourself- what is there left to do in Tuscaloosa?

This is way to soon and just dumb

Also if would be really weird if USC hired Jeff Fisher, then I'd be in a really weird position of wanting to root for USC bc of him. Not that he would leave the NFL for it IMO

Seems to me that Del Rio to USC makes too much sense.

How come you don't see Gary Patterson's name pop up much anymore? He was such a hot name just a couple years ago.

He has Petrino at #8 for USC. to me it seems like the perfect fit with his pompous arse personality.

I'd like to see Texas get Sumlin just for the Aggie meltdown.

I think Gundy to Texas makes the most logical sense. A Poke fan that I work with literally said "Why would Gundy leave everything that he has at Okie State????"

Uh..how about prestige, more money, better boosters, better recruiting and an overall better environment?

Conventional wisdom on some insider Texas boards after Muschamp left was that Chris Petersen would get the first call once Mack left. I'm not sure if that is still the case however. I think Franklin, Strong, and Shaw would all be good hires. Obviously there's Saban and there will be inquiries made - not sure how far they go.

I am almost positive it wouldn't be Muschamp (left on some bad terms because of some comments made about him by Mack supporters) or Miles (the OSU and Lyles stuff maybe...just have never seen his name come up from people who say they're in the know). A little surprised Meyer isn't on the list...I seem to recall that he had made some positive comments about coaching at Texas while he was announcing but maybe everyone thinks he's staying put at OSU.

It cracks me up that people believe any non-SEC school would be a better, more attractive job than the top SEC schools.

If Miles or Saban left their schools for Texas or USC, I'd question their competitiveness and consider them lazy. There is no higher standard than an SEC program that is willing to put in the money and effort to win championships.

If Miles didnt go to Michigan (twice), he's not going to Texas, and he sure as hell was never going to arkansas.

And if Saban didnt go to the Browns, he's not going anywhere either.

But both agents will be in talks and come out with nice raises.

If I were Texas, I'd throw 15 to 20 mil a year at Saban.

You're guaranteed a top 10 recruiting class by having no head coach. With Saban, you'd win 2-3 national titles over 10 years
