The son does a pretty good job
Posts pretty much the same stuff and has added a few wrinkles to improve it
It's a good place to check on daily happenings in a consise short format from LSU

I'm still a big fan of the site - I think his son is doing a good job of continuing the tradition

Gotta disagree. Don's son has taken the hand-off and run with it. More information, videos of recent games as well as historic games, better features. My go-to site every day.

I'm kinda confused with the "just not the same"

Hasn't it been Scott ghost writing it really for Don's last years anyway?

Scotts doing a good job only difference is that I don't think scotts has the inside connections/sources on recruits don had. But don collected those sources thru years of officiating high school football, otherwise site hasn't skipped a beat.

No, but Scott Long is doing a great job and I enjoy his insights and innovations to the site. Don Long was a great Tiger Fan, lots of passion and plenty of purple and gold. But generations move on and it's great when the son can pick up where the father left off, with hardly a ripple (as Scott has done).

Sorry Chicken, but to start my Tiger mornings, I always read DD before I come to the Rant.

Dandy don is my first stop once I get a cup of Joe. Scott is doing a great job. It seems exactly the same as when Mr Don was still alive. All the way down to the canning pickles part.

No disrespect to Mr. Don who was an LSU institution but Scott does a great job. So glad he carries on.

I think Scott does a great job. It's the first thing I read every morning. I only discovered the site about 3 years ago so I don't know how much of what I've read was Dandy Don's actual writing since Scott had been doing most of the work for some time before his dad passed. It was a true rite of passage, and you have to give it to a man (like Scott) who worshipped his father.

Many of us were reading Dandy for a long time and remember going thru the heartache with his wife and later Dandy himself. Hard to find a better family and Tiger fan.

As far as Scott, he's taken off where Dandy left off. Dandy is smiling down from Tiger heaven.

Great job Scott and thanks!!!

Dandydon.com is my homepage. The very first thing I look at every morning. Tigerdroppings always follows. Both are the BEST!!!

Can't start my day without them!

Still just as good, just with a different approach. For me, the most convenient way to get LSU news in a few minutes. Compare that with hours on the rant...
