I tried to get cute last year and think long term. Wasn't smart. You never know who will bomb and who may be better than expected this early. Just go with the closest thing to a likely win with a safe, proven team.

Oakland could have screwd a lot of people had they won.

Still alive thanks to KC. I'm going deep this year.

I took Tampa Bay. And was celebrating my brilliance up until that dumb assed play.

Does Amendola being out make anyone hesitant about the Pats pick?

I'm really torn between picking Oakland or Baltimore in my survivor league. Baltimore is the safe play, but it would be nice to have them in the mix for later in the season. This would be the week to take Oakland - they may not be as bad as predicted and Jacksonville could actually be worse than predicted.

I'm thinking hard and the Eagles. Vs San Diego, at home, early game.

Philly will break down later in the year. Now may be a chance to use them.

For some reason, my first instinct was to pick the Bengals at home over the Steelers who looked terrible last week. I also like Atlanta and Baltimore. I've been burned by "easy" Thursday night games in the last couple of years so I'm staying away from New England.

This is my dilemma as well. Need to get rid of Oakland early because they're not going to win many games.

Not many safe matches this week though, and Baltimore is one of the safest.

Leaning Atlanta over St. Louis and Cincy over Pit. Right now going with Cincy, seems safe, Pitt is awful.

im leaning more and more toward ATL now because i think i want to stay away from NE since it's 1) on a thursday night 2) a divisional game 3) does NE have anyone healthy on offense anymore besides Brady?

That NE game seems like the pick, but the negatives are injuries, thursday and division game. I should know better than to pick NE in week 2 at home as a heavy favorite against Arizona and got KO'd.
