Having watched him play last season and the last two weeks, I just expect more. At this stage he's a nice player but at his size and reputation , shouldn't he be a dominant player? He's not shown that yet.

Perhaps it's all about projection, but as a long-time West Monroe supporter we have had many more impactful linemen.
Still, Cam is one of ours and I wish him the best. I guess I just don't understand the recruiting services and their evaluations.
Here's hoping Cam turns into the next Willie Roaf.

Did West Monroe lose to some Mississippi school this past week? What's up with that (if so)

Would you have posted this thread if Cam had picked LSU?

Sophomore QB had 3 turnovers that lead to all of MC's points in regulation as well as one at the 2. WM should've been up 28-0 at the half.

Yes, you are in the minority. Cam is a stud and will be a beast for Bama.

Cam was better as a junior. Thus far in the 2 outings we've seen this year, Day was better as a senior. Cam has not been as dominant as last year. Still a long way to go though.

well, when I watched his play at camps, he was ridiculously talented. No one could get by and his footwork was off the charts.

Plus, I think he looks like the spawn of Lawrence Taylor.

Have you seen the kid play live? Or are you judging this off HIGHLIGHTS and camps?

My brother who follows La. HS football like I follow college football says that when he watched Robinson last year that he looked sloppy. Not only did he not dominate, he was just like another regular OL. He also looked fat and out of shape.

Keep in mind, this is my brother that said this. He doesn't keep up with recruiting or post on message boards. We were talking about the upcoming WM/Barbe game and mentioned that Robinson was the #1 player in the country and he looked at me like I was crazy.

Yes, yes....I get that some people are going to come off as bitter. (I, for one, don't care that LSU lost him because they can replace him) But I wanted to post what has been said by people that aren't into following recruiting or where kids go after they graduate HS.

That's the issue with me here.

If this kid is the #1 kid in the country, shouldn't he be dominating HS kids?

I hate Bama. However, I am not going to start picking apart a 17 or 18 year old kid who decided to pick a different school. Had Cam picked LSU, all we'd hear is how great he is. It's typically of LSU and probably most every schools' fans that once they get spunned for another school, they pick apart the recruit to make themselves feel better. Cam will be a beast where ever he goes.
