Such an inferiority complex amongst the local Falcons fans. I can't blame you. The Saints were supposed to be doormats forever. But now they're the Falcons daddy and also have a Lombardi.

You keep forgetting that we pick and choose years, and 2009 isn't one of them.

Take the Saints and give the points, easy money.

I see Atlanta 8-8.

Hey, suppose the NFL banished Atlanta's head coach for a year, and they didn't hire a replacement- do you suppose they'd make it to 7-9? Would Matt Ryan have Pro Bowl numbers? Or, would they be in the Jadaveon Clowney sweepstakes?

Sean Payton is going to make a lot more difference than any of the talking heads predict.

Well according to this board, Mike Smith is a shitty coach anyways, so I guess we would be the same?

"Shitty" is relative, in that at least you have a sense of continuity for the season. A guy the defensive coordinator has to answer to, etc. All of that was missing, along with Payton's special touch in play-calling. I happen to think Payton's a good coach, and figuring he can take the same team to at least 4 more wins than the guys we had last year is reasonable.

the falcons fans that said losing Payton for the year would kill the Saints are the same ones minimizing the impact of his return. which one is it guys? They hear only what they want to hear, and know only what they've heard.
