I just watched boondock saints for the first time...all I've heard is about how amazing it is. I mean it was ok, but nothing deserving of cult classic status.

Maybe I need to be high and or drunk to appreciate it

Willem Dafoe makes the entire movie worth watching

It's got some great moments and some great quotes though.

If you watched it when you were like 10-12 years old it was the greatest movie ever, and you like it forever.
Unfortunately, you missed out

it's borderline terrible, and has zero re-watchability

although, there will be fanboys on this thread with the quickness defending it as the the most awesome movie, like ever

I like it. It's not a masterpiece but it was entertaining and very fun to watch. The 2nd one was one of the worst things I've ever seen.

I thought it was entertaining but haven't watched the entire movie since freshman year of college. Caught the first 20 minutes on TV the other day and got enough of that nostalgic feeling then flipped it to something else.

It definitely wouldn't hurt.

Completely agree. Everyone I know in Louisiana loves it and I would say 90% of the reason is because the word saints is in the title.

I really enjoy it for what it's supposed to be.

Surprised at the number of people in this thread who think too highly of themselves that they can't enjoy this movie, especially based on some of the movies that do get praise on here.

I enjoyed it. I feel it deserves cult status because of how well it is done. However, I completely understand how it would not be everybody's cup of tea.

I liked it, though I haven't seen it in a while. At first it was cool to like this movie, now it's apparently cool to hate it. Lots of cool kids trying to keep up in this thread.

It was a good vigilante action flick, whose popularity stems largely from it getting no theater play.

It's fun to watch, but only d-bags think it's a "classic."

It's popcorn shlock... it was reasonably unique when it came out 12 years ago and attracted a cult following of teenagers and young adults.
