I am sometimes the snubber (in Houston) not because I am a bandwagon fan, but I forget I have tiger gear on and don't expect people to talk to me in public.

Yes, a few times. I think it's more just me though. It's been in odd places, no where in South.

I only do it in places where you wouldn't expect to see LSU fans. Like on my honeymoon in the Dominican Republic, or like right now when I'm in NYC.

In Dallas I don't usually get a GEAUX Tigers.

A lot of people will say something along the lines of LSUUUUU or L.S.U. L.S.U.

Those always throw me off a lot more.

I ignore people who do that shite. I love LSU but it doesn't define my daily life and how I greet people.

I never say it to anyone in the SEC states. Too many ppl.

I say it all the time in NYC to tourists. They always give me a good geaux tigers back.

I guess it depends on context. It would be weird to say in in Louisiana.

I'm OOS, and whenever I see someone wearing LSU gear I want to at least acknowledge the connection -- because I miss being in LA, going to all the games, everyone always talking about the Tigers, etc. So I'm pretty disappointed if they don't return the enthusiasm.

Wow, I didn't realize that saying Geaux Tigers to a random guy I see at the top of Stone Mountain wearing an LSU shirt defined my daily life.

Right. Where LSU fans are all over the place.

I could see if you were in New Jersey but it seems just as silly doing it in Houston as it would Baton Rouge.q

I agree.. I think I acted like a crazy the first time I saw an LSU license plate in Virginia.. They probably thought I was about to try and kill them.. Pulling up all quick and motioning for them to roll down the window and pointing wildly at the front of my truck (which in turn had LSU gear)
I think they finally got it.. but there wasn't much enthusiasm.

I don't do it in alabama much. There are a ton of LSU fans here. I see it everyday.

I said Geaux Tigers to a guy over here in Katy at the IKEA and he looked at me like I was crazy. Dude was decked out in LSU gear too.

When I'm on vacation I'll definitely give a geaux tigers to an LSU fan I see. Met a lot of cool people that way. The situation definitely dictates the way that I say/shout it, but usually its just a simple spoken greeting of "geaux tigers" with a nod. Usually I'll get a similar response.

I did tigerbait a guy wearing a UT hat in Ireland. I'm pretty sure i confused the hell out of him. It was during the CWS a day or two before we played them.

I live in Alabama right now so we are few and far between but when I see a fellow Tiger fan, I never get snubbed.... Usually it's more excitement to actually see another fan in this god forsaken place called Mobile......

I don't really like meeting new people or talking to people in general when i'm out of town, so when someone tells me geaux tigers i usually just nod and maybe say it back and then ignore the person so they won't say anything to me again.

Yes i know i'm an arse. I hate chit chat, especially with people i don't know.

I do it in the Seattle area to people in LSU gear on the street. I get more antisocial responses than one would think. I can understand not being all energetic on a random street, but you are wearing LSU gear, and I am obviously a fellow LSU fan far from home; you think that a casual Geaux Tigers would be enough to elicit at least a smile and or a nod from everyone.
