Wow, I didn't realize that saying Geaux Tigers to a random guy I see at the top of Stone Mountain wearing an LSU shirt defined my daily life.

Why would I give a shite that some rando person on the street went to the same school as me?

I did not realize we had so many dick tiger fans, or anti-social if you prefer. You would think that people who care enought to post on a fan board or wear the school colors would appreciate a fellow fan.

I travel a lot, and some times I get the same reaction. Several times people have told me they just like the colors, that's why they wear the hat, not because they are really LSU fans.

Oh, and more than once I've been overseas, threw one of my LSU hats on because it was a sunny day, and got a "Geaux Tigers" that completely threw me because I forgot about what hat I was wearing. One time I looked around trying to figure out who he was talking to. Then I remembered the hat and we chatted about home for a bit.

I hate to say I get more "Roll Tide" comments for my LSU gear it seems. Though anywhere in any city in the world you can find an LSU person. I usually pack at least an LSU polo or hat when traveling to wear. I always reply "geaux tigers" to a geaux tigers. And yes many of times it turns into a nice conversation.

Someone told me that once while I was in the middle of eating dinner with my girlfriend and her family. Mouthful of food I didn't know what to say. Guy probably thought I was a dick.

Had it happen to me around Hattiesburg. I was wearing some LSU gear headed to Best Buy and was in my own little world--definitely not expecting a "Geaux Tigers" in the parking lot. My wife, a Mississippi native, actually caught it. I felt like an a-hole for not acknowledging the guy.

when you are an out of state fan, you definetly become a little more low key with it all...I have done the same thing...
