What is "boosting?"

I was just playing BLOPS 2 and after a game someone sent me a message saying that I was boosting. They said they recorded it and sent it to Treyarch. What the frick is boosting?

Call of duty terminology:
Hacking: when you make someone mad by killing them a lot.
Boosting: when you make someone mad by killing them a lot.

I'm not down with all the "rock n' roll" and slang the kids are using these days, but I always thought "boosting" meant you were helping your opponent's stats by repeatedly getting killed by them?

You don't just boost by giving people free kills, I've seen some pretty creative boosting in BF3 before. I think Dice patched this, but I remember early on in the game I saw a guy shooting a TUGS and another guy was constantly repairing it. They were just standing on the beach, shooting and repairing. You can really rack up a shitload of points doing that.
