Best items to flip/arbitrage on Craigslist, eBay, etc

You need to find something that you know more about than most people, I know a guy who makes a killing flipping musical instruments. You can make money flipping random crap, but you'll have to be patient and put in more work.

Back when Academy started their online shopping site, they were putting almost everything at clearance prices. I'm talking Nike tights, compression shorts, shorts...everything was from $0.88 to $2.88. I bought everything in sight, nearly their entire inventory and proceeded to flip most of them on eBay, averaging a sell price of around $19.99.

My biggest score from Academy was some Mueller Knee Braces which were on clearance for $0.88 a piece. This must have been a pricing error because everywhere else that I saw still had it priced at around $32.99.

So, I sold each one (around 15-20 or so) for at least $29.99 with $3 shipping.

I'd say I made out pretty well on those items and they paid for some LSU tickets that I wanted.

My friend bought 53 tickets to the UT vs ole miss game for about 3500 and is trying to flip them. If we're both undefeated $$$$ if we're not, not so much.

I sold bull penis on ebay for about a year. Buy in bulk and sell in smaller portions. I would double my investment each time. For some reason, one day the cost shot up and it was no longer profitable. I probably made 7k that year. If you are confused, I am talking about bully sticks.

I bought some music festival tickets on "pre-sale" a few months back and was able to unload them for a little over 2x my purchase price a few days before the festival on craigslist when my plans changed. I probably could have gotten more if I'd listed them higher... I had people emailing within 30 minutes of putting up the listing. If you can get tickets relatively cheap, I think that'd be an easy demographic to take advantage of. They were going for even more on the big sites like stubhub, but I'd imagine that's to account for all the service charges.

I think that someone could make a living off buying/selling tickets if they tried hard enough...

As I mentioned in the $5k to $10k thread, one of my 7on/7off workers flips wrecked motorcycle parts and unclaimed cars. He strips all of the motorcycles down to parts, list them on ebay the day before he comes back to work, and the auctions end his last day of work. He spends his first day off shipping parts. I think he makes a nice little profit on the side, and the best part is that it is all cash. He also has an uncle or friend (I forget) that owns a wrecker/body shop. After cars go unclaimed, he picks them up for say $2000 and only tries to make roughly +/- $1000 on each. He usually post pics on Facebook, and sometimes has them sold by the time he gets home. He hustles really hard.

I was about to say this. I live close to MusicRow and it is outrageous how many STUDIO's are concentrated there. I actually know a musician that did exactly what you are describing, so maybe you profited from him haha.
