Holy shite-n-balls. Just googled Korra to bump a past thread asking again when this was to air. Apparently I'm a few weeks late.

Are these going to be up online?

Just finished ep. 3. Anyone else think we might be headed towards a Dark Phoenix/avatar type of finale?

Before the reconciliation at the end of this ep. I was sure that is where it was headed now I am less sure but I still think the possibility is there. The side plot with Aangs granddaughter having some type of draw to the avatars increases my speculation for that angle. That they need to find someone to battle a dark avatar or unlock a seed of good in a avatar possessed by an evil spirit type of thing.

/ didn't read whole thread, sorry if theory is old news.

Never need to apologize for posting in the Korra thread. OML likes the company.

Just watched the 4th episode.. Turns out the little side story with the kid was nothing. And now we know the whole truth to Korras Uncle and what he did to her father..

I'm guessing the rest of the movie has to deal with a war going on between the tribes and korra traveling the whole time and messing with spirits trying to get to the capital city or whatever and convince them to help the south beat the north!

Yeah, the guy is Ozai 2.0, except more spiritual. Glad we're now out of the Southern Tribe, and am looking forward to where they take the story. I'm really clueless at this point, other than the fact that I think Unalaq is being manipulated by a more powerful spirit that I think Korra unknowingly unleashed when she opened the Southern Portal.

Also how awesome was it when Korra was using Naga to interrogate the judge? And finally, Verrick continues to be by far the best character on the show. Everything he's a part of is absolutely hilarious.

Just watched the latest episode, and I really like where things are going. Really a transitional episode more than an action packed one.

First of all, Verrick is definitely behind the bombing of the Southern Water Tribe Center. Think he's using it to incite hatred against the North and get the Republic behind him and the South.

And I'm guessing, since I think it's unlikely Korra is dead at this point, that we're finally getting into the Spirit World next week, which I can't wait for.

Also I really wish they would progress Tenzin's arc. Half the season has passed, and he hasn't done too much.

Even though nothing has happened with him really, I've still enjoyed the arc with his family a great deal. His arc this season reminds me alot of early Avatar.

What? You don't think him teaching his son how to train lemurs will be useful? That Flying V could be the answer to all the Southern Water Tribe's problems.

Does anyone find it weird how easily she can go into the avatar state but everytime she does it doesn't really make any difference??

When Aang used to go into Avatar state he was a completely different person and it was rare and he would gain INSANE power.

Korra just slips in and out of it whenever she pleases and it doesn't really make her any better.

She doesn't have the connection to the spirit world that Aang had. She is sorely lacking in discipline.

Sang typically went into it in pure rage mode though, plus his opponents weren't nearly as powerful as Korra's.

Another really good episode, almost completely without Korra. Really liked how they've given the characters more arcs this season, since really after probending Mako and Bolin were just space fillers.

Next week is the flashback to the first Avatar, so that should be a good one.

Also loved the action serials Bolin is starring in.

Do the two detectives remind anyone else of these guys?

That was what I was thinking during that entire scene as well. The producers are obviously fans of Hot Fuzz, as that scene was straight out of that movie almost. Particularly Mako commenting about their facial hair afterwards.
