I will always like the Holtby sub. He's great, and he needs to play.

It's crazy how much talent we have in the midfield. Sandro isn't even in the discussion.

Yeah, Defoe had that one good chance and didn't put anything on the ball with his shot. I wasn't against the Defoe sub just because of his quickness. I figured he could get through their back line and have a chance or 2 to score.

After the latest results, I'm much happier with the draw.

Both City and United lose on the same day for the first time since 2008.

First half was excellent, second was sloppy. A win today would have been even better with those other results but I'll take a tie against Chelsea.

Missed the first half but watched the second half (which is probably why Chelsea scored and we didn't), I'll take a draw vs Chelsea this early in the season. I was nervous about playing a team with as many weapons as they have without our full starting back 4 going, but we did well to only concede 1 on a set piece.

Would have preferred Lamela in over Chadli, but I guess AVB has his reasons. Chadli hasn't impressed me too much when he has had the ball yet. Holtby is a guy I'll never mind seeing getting minutes. Works perfectly as a high-energy, versatile sub. Defoe is typical defoe, weak shot on net when he had that great chance. I like him as a sub though because of his quickness. If he can actually be consistent with his finishing then he'd be an ideal striker off the bench.

Fernando Torres faces longer ban

Figured my fellow Spurs fans would find this interesting.

Is there any doubt that Holtby is the coolest player on the team?

Lamela has been very underwhelming. I may have made a bad call on buying his third kit.

The skill is there with Lamela. He just looks like he tries too hard at times. He is young and trying to justify his price tag. He will be good.

He knows he is tagged as Bale's replacement. I think you're right that he is trying to be spectacular when its not necessary.

Yes. It also has to be tough when there is so much talent trying to get on the field. I think the added depth has clearly made everyone better. Defoe, Holtby, Siggurrdson, Townsend, among others have improved their game.

Give Lamela time. He hasn't seen the pitch much so far with Spurs so he's still not totally comfortable with his teammates. This should be expected. Let's not forget his contribution to Paulinho's backheel winner at Carrow Road a few weeks ago.

That was a beautiful ball, and I loved that Soldado jumped into his arms right after the goal, giving him credit (possibly showing a friendship between the two Spanish-speaking players.

What a game today! That pitch was terrible, but we got the job done.

Yeah that field looked awful. I can't get over this depth compared to last year where our starters were playing almost every game.

Lamela will be fine it's just gonna take him a while to get in the groove of things.

North London is where the two best teams reside at the moment. Congrats on the win.
