I haven't watched Griezemann enough to know what type of player he is

A lot of the talk around him is how he has kind of transformed his play this year from winger to wide forward... 20 goals and 5 assists

I like him a lot and hope he is high up the list of targets for us too... quality that won't break the bank and room to keep improving..

I actually wouldn't mind a double raid on him and Vela

Vela is perfect for La Liga. i'm not sure he should leave. the physicality of the EPL isn't going to maximize his ability. he has matured as a player though. maybe he could stick this time. just seems like he's found his spot.

I think you're right in the idea that he probably likes where he's a and doesn't want to leave... that said, I'd take him if he was up for it..

Ive watched a lot of Real Sociedad this season and the understanding those two have together is fun to watch...

Vela is ridiculously left-footed. I don't think I've ever seen him use his right foot for anything. Limits him in tight spaces. I'm pretty sure we have a buy-back clause for him so if he does leave, hopefully we can get him back. We need wide forwards in the worst way.

Im curious to see Theo's return to the pitch... I wonder him much pace he loses, if any at all... How it may influence his game... He's my favorite gooner...

Ozil is also ridiculously left-footed.

Also, is he really a wide forward? When I've seen his highlights all I've seen is him playing centrally.

Since 2010, Theo has scored 51 goals and has 44 assists, and I think he's one of England's most underrated players, because people remember when he was technically inept and not his fantastic last four seasons. I hope he doesn't lose his pace, but I think he can use his movement intelligently, like he has the past four seasons, to continue to be effective.

The front three of real Sociedad interchange quite a bit...

Not nearly to Vela's degree. Against Blackpool a couple of years ago, he had a fantastic dribble where he only used his left foot except for the shot, which was awful. Ozil uses his right to pivot the ball back to his left, something that Vela doesn't really often do.

For Sociedad, Vela has played wide right for the majority of games, recording 9 goals and ten assists from that position, but he'd never play centrally for us. He never played centrally when we switched to the single striker, and he was always played wide left.

Does he stay wide? Does he want the ball played into space or played to his feet?

Also, where do you find info like the above? (ie that he scored x number of goals from said position on the field)

No clue. I haven't watched Sociedad at all this season.

whoscored.com

A useful site for stats, but their ratings are sometimes weird.

I love when he's moving right with his left foot and just fakes cutting back left a million times before finally doing it. The defender always knows it's coming, and it's funny to watch their inability to stop him.

he played 45 minutes. great to see. early reports said he was tidy in possession. didn't see anything more than that.
