re: True Blood Season 6 Thread

1) I can see why humans might want a vampire protector but why do vampires need humans? After six months, shouldn't the True Blood factories be back up and running?
2) Violet is a major problem for Jason. She's more trouble than Glen Close's character from Fatal Attraction. At least the Fatal Attraction broad liked to screw and she didn't have the powers of an 800-year-old vampire. I predict Jason will get tired of begging Violet for sex and get some poon from some chick with hep V and then give it to Violet after she finally decides that he's waited long enough.
3) It sucks to be Jessica. I knew she'd be a pariah in Bon Temps after what she did, and I can't see Arlene ever accepting her back at Merlotte's.
4) If Tara's mother is diabolical enough to give her hep V, I can't imagine what Pam might do to her, and I also think her preacher husband wouldn't look too kindly on this either.

The show should end here. No need to go on.

We just saw Erics dong. So many possibilities from here.

Wait, so the viewership of the S6 finale was 1 million less than the S6 premiere? Damn. That is a steep drop.
HBO has been free for their premiers lately. I watched the premiere on HBO, the finale on torrents.

They would never do us that favor and get rid of Tara.

She does look like she has used the needle. Maybe just good old regular hep C would do the trick.

Who is we? Tara is one of the best characters on the show.

Are we to presume that Bill confessed to bombing the True Blood factories also? If so, wouldn't that make him enemy #1 to both humans and vampires?

I absolutely hated human Tara. Tara this season was an improvement because she wasn't a main character and served her original purpose of being a side character. Now Terry and Arlene are wayyyyy worse than current Tara.

you know, I had this same exact thought the other night. "man, Tara is way less annoying when she's not a main character"

Eric made the right choice in getting out of this horrible catastrophe when he did. I feel like a 5yr old child wrote this last season.

my best guess is that they would rather join up with an uninfected human and have a constant good and safe blood source than whoring around taking your chances biting any and every human you can.
I'm assuming it would only be long enough for True Blood to get a legit factory up and running again.
And for those questioning Eric's death:
HBO
Relax, Truebies! Vampire Eric is going to be alive -- but maybe not well -- when the show returns next year.
Is he or isn't he? When the credits rolled on the "True Blood" season finale Sunday night, fans were left wondering whether Viking vamp Eric had met the True Death.
After all, he was working on a tan in his birthday suit when Warlow's vampire-fairy blood lost its sunblock properties, resulting in what could be a deadly burn.
But thanks to show boss Brian Buckner, fans won't have to wait until next summer to find out if the hunky bloodsucker played by Alexander Skarsgard will live to see the new season. In an interview with TVLine, Buckner said the ancient vampire will indeed be back.
"I can tell you that Alexander Skarsgard is going to be part of the next season of 'True Blood,' " he told the website. "He will be a series regular. I'm not going to take Alex Skarsgard out of people's living rooms."
But that's not to say Eric will be perfectly fine after meeting the sun on some snow-capped mountains. "No, that would be a cheat, wouldn't it? That would be an incredible cheat," Buckner told TVLine. "Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) has gone off in search of Eric, and maybe she's going to be the one to find him, y'know?"
Buckner also teased the theme of the upcoming season, saying that the gang of Hep V-infected vamps swarming Bon Temps in the closing scene will bring the series full circle, back to the original premise of whether humans and vampires can co-exist peacefully.
As for the infection that's causing the bloodsuckers to act like something out of "The Walking Dead"? "The virus has mutated," Buckner said, pointing out that it doesn't quite impact the vampires as it first did with the now deceased Nora, who was the first one to be given the virus. "And they're not zombies."
Guess that's at least one kind of supernatural being the good folks of Bon Temps won't have to worry about next year.

so they are more like the Vampires in "30 Days of night?" they just want to feed on as many humans as possible?
Did the US government and Military just give up on fighting vampires then? Wasn't that the way things were heading in the last two seasons?
With the General and all? I think Vampires have more to fear.

Andy not killing her and Bill was ridiculous. No father would forgive that.

I agree with you 100%. I don't care what kind of message the show is trying to send or what the vampires are supposed to represent because I watch this show in a literal sense. I haven't read the books but I assure you the woman that wrote them had no veiled meaning in mind when she created the vampires. I am a human and so would like to see the humans kill all of the damn vampires.

Even taking Jessica's remorse at face value, why would humans want to live with vampires if they have so little self-control?

It is silly. I really liked the show the first 2 seasons before it went overboard. I realize it is a fantasy show but I can only suspend my belief so much. Were-panthers, were-wolves, gods, fairies, vampires, vampire/fairies, vampires that walk in the sun, half fairies, evil spirits, those who can communicate with the dead, and people that can change into any kind of animal. That is a little much in my opinion and makes for an unwatchable show with far too many story lines and possibilities.

Iluv, this is a bit off topic (I already posted it in the Crackpot thread but no female posters saw it ) but did you see the Kit Harington Pompeii picture?

It's been confirmed by HBO today that Season 7 will be the last season of True Blood.
