What is ESPN's motivation for continually bombarding us with Tebow?

NFL Live of course opened with a 10 minute segment analyzing Belichick's presser.
Does ESPN do focus groups? Do they not understand the general public is sick of a 3rd string QB getting so much attention? Or is the general public more retarded than I give them credit for?

According to sophandros, it's Tebow's fault.

You've got that wrong. Drive-by sports fan love hearing about Tebow. ESPN is the TMZ of sports news. They want to focus on a narrow topic and beat it to death. It's the same thing Nancy Grace does every 6-8 weeks with some high profile case. Same shite.
Stop watching ESPN so much and your life will be better.

Pushing the Christian agenda.

ESPN clearly wants to see more Tebow threads on the MSB.
Mission accomplished.

Just look at the threads on here. A Tebow, Lebron, Tiger thread gets responses for days. They know what gets viewers and this board is representative of that

I honestly cant think of any reason he gets this much pub. He is the 3rd string QB on a good football team. Maybe ESPN is thinking that they should ride this whole Tebow thing out til the very end.
I really dont see Tebow bringing in ratings like theyre thinking he does. Its just that there is no other sports channel for the regular sports fan

Because they know you'll watch and then talk about it on message boards.

Purely a guess, but I imagine the ratings are substantially higher on shows Tebow related, when peopleknow he's in the news and espn will focus on him.

Well it is the offseason.
I mean they could have talked about Dockett's new facemask.

Because ESPN loves to get ratings by pissing off their core audience.
They have to get ratings as high as possible because if they don't they might have to lay off thousands of employees.

ESPN's wet dream is a gay-christian-champion .....any sport will do....if its a major sport, you better find a new sports network
tebow is 2/3rds of that.....well champion at the college level...when the revelation he's gay and that's why he is celibate comes out, watch the f out
