Been buying them for healthier/cheaper lunch options. Small (I guess that's the point), but pretty damn tasty for what they are. Had some Thai chicken yesterday and some chicken sesame ginger spring rolls for breakfast this morning.

Will post pictures later on how I prepare them for the board's enjoyment.

Anyone else eating on these frozen portion controlled bits of heaven?

I've been eating the Healthy Choice "Cafe Steamers" lately. Particularly the Top Chef ones. I'm not going to lie, some of them are really not bad at all and they are all 250-400 calories. Not too shabby.

LINK

ETA: if I recall correctly, they are cheaper than the lean cuisines I used to buy and frankly, much tastier to me.

I had a braised beef with chipotle sweet potatoes that was really good. Thai-style chicken was solid. Out of all the ones I've tried, they've all been edible and enjoyable.

They also have another line of Lean Cuisine "naturals" that come in a fancier container. Might have to check those out.

Mrs. Vedder and I have been eating the lean cuisine and HC steamers for a while now. they are a solid lunch option.

recently, however, we discovered the Amy's frozen meals. the "natural" or "organic" part isn't as important as the fact that they are really good. most flavorful frozen lunch i've ever tried. and they have a huge variety, which, mixing them with the LC and HC options, keeps it from getting too boring at lunch.

they are a bit more expensive than the others mentioned but worth it in my opinion.

The shrimp pasta dish I just ate had 570 mg of sodium, which is much lower than anything I'd have ordered at a restaurant.

this. i haven't eaten an amy's dish that crossed the 800 threshold (with some a lot lower than that), much less 1500.

With all the drama going on with this board, I can't tell if this is a serious or troll thread.

If I am reduced to eating stuff out of a cardboard box for lunch, it's going to be Amy's. Actual flavor, not just salt. The samosa wraps (pea & potato) are tasty, as is the cheese enchilada and tamale verde. WalMart sells Amy's frozen items for $2-3 cheaper than any other retailer 'round here.

The only Amy's dud so far has been the teriyaki bowl. Pretty tasteless compared to the Indian meals.
