I'm getting a slight scum line on my boat. I've used Starbrite hull cleaner before and it works, but you have to put a good coat of wax after you use it. I don't mind doing that, but I don't want to have to do it that often. Are there any other products out there that will help clean without being as aggressive as Starbrite?

I take my boat to the car wash every time it touches the water and scrub it down, but in the past 3 weeks, a line is still starting to form. I have a good wax job and everything. What else can I be dooing to prevent stains?

What kind of wax do you use? I switched from star brite to the 3m ultra performance wax and noticed a big difference.

Davis FSR hull cleaner. Works like magic. No scrubbing at all.

Lemon Pledge. Use it on your outboard too. You'll never get water stains/spots.

Maybe this isn't for all but I get this brown water stain on my white hull that nothing will touch, I found some thing that cleans it with out any scrubbing at all. The Works spray cleaner at Dollar stores. $2.00 or less. Spray it and rinse off, brilliant white like new. Saw a guy win that stain and meant to tell him the other day. It's the acid in these EastTexas lakes I'm sure.

I use something called Bass Boat Saver that seems to work good.
