I think it would be incredibly unwise to offload Courtois and Lukaku before ever giving them a run in the 1st team. Hopefully we can keep them and add Shaw (United supposedly are offering £27M) as a replacement for Cole. As well as figure out a way to motivate Oscar (or replace him).

One silver lining to this season: we only allowed 27 goals. Lowest in the league by 10 goals.

I'd prefer all three strikers to leave (unless one wants to stay on and be #3) and bring back Lukaku and sign another marquee name.

I'd love to sign Shaw for the future but I'd also like to see Cole get another 1 year deal. He's shown what a great pro he is these last few weeks. Would a great player to be able to call on in a pinch.

I haven't totally given up on Oscar but I wouldn't be sad at all if we got rid of him and brought in a proven #10.

Yea, the good news is our flaws are so obvious it shouldn't be difficult to address. Though I thought that last summer as well and we brought in a bunch of fast wingers who can run for days but can't score.

So Luiz going out of his way to talk about how much he loves Paris again. Why don't we just let him go already but only on the condition they take Oscar too.

Change Pastore to Lavezzi or Lucas and I'm with you.

I don't really see a glaring need for Shaw. Azpi was phenomenal, and we have so many LBs out playing somewhere else.

I think we should bring back Courtois and let him push Cech for the starting job, especially with Cech's recent injury. He's getting up there in age.

Costa + one more big name striker + offloading Eto'o and Ba (and ideally Torres although I don't think it'll happen) would be a dream summer

I accept your negotiation, nice doing business with you.

It's not so much a glaring need for Shaw, it's that it would be excellent to have him. Azpilicueta can switch back to the right and then for now you have Ivanovic as a center option and right option. I may be mistaken but I don't know of too many fullbacks out on loan from Chelsea that could come back and contribute.

100% agree. I love Petr, but it's obvious Courtois is the future. However, if Petr is healthy and Courtois isn't a bitch about it, let's loan him back to Atleti so he can stay match fit.

I'd be perfectly fine with bringing in Costa and bringing back Lukaku, no need to sign another ST IMO.

Isn't Eto'o's contract up? I would be fine keeping Ba as depth, he's grown on me over the course of the season. Rumors are swirling that Atleti might be willing to take Torres back and that Inter are interested.

What I would like to see:
1) Bring back Lukaku
2) Sign Costa (inevitable) or Dzeko (preferred)
3) Keep Hazard
4) Keep Luiz
5) Move Mikel
6) I am up in the air on Oscar...he shows flashes, but was pretty poor this year.
7) I would love to see us make a play for Llalana. His creativity at Southampton was fun to watch. Can he play #10?
8) Keep Courtois on loan at Athletico - Czech still has some time.
9) Move Torres and Eto'o. Keep Ba as a #3.

In short, get some talent that can score goals and keep everything else basically unchanged.

Not as good as Oscar, Willian, Shurrle, Hazard, or Ramires. You bitch about midfielders who can't score and then bring up Moura? the dude dribbles well but couldn't finish with a $5 whore.

Cech goes out on his terms. He's currently top 3 GK's in the world and a club legend. You send Courtouis on loan to Atletico again. You don't try to muscle Cech out because there's a shiny new toy that hasn't done nearly as many laps around the track.

I agree, I chose Lavezzi for that reason. And I clarified my Courtois vs Cech argument. Cech is a legend but there's nothing wrong with competition.

The hate on Oscar has been a little over the top. I haven't seen a 2 week period since the first time I've heard his name where he had any sort of a break. He was probably exhausted at the end of this season. Find me another player who's played as many matches as Oscar in the last 3 years.

Move Torres

One does not simply just "move" a 50 million pound player on the wages that Torres is on. There's maybe 6 teams who could afford him and none of them are going to take him. He's our problem to deal with.

I agree with that. Can never hurt to add talent like that. I just think money could be better on the biggest issue. Which we all are aware of

On loan: Ryan Bertrand, Patrick Van Aanholt, Sam Hutchinson, Wallace, Todd Kane.

Not sure how many could immediately contribute - and some are more central defenders - but the point is the money has been invested.

I guess I'm just not quite as sold on Costa as some others. I would love to see Lukaku in the starting XI but Mou just doesn't seem to favor him.

Ba can stay for funzies

1-I'd love to keep Lukaku. Doesn't seem like that will be the case, but I wish we would.
2-I'm not enthused about Costa at all and Dzeko probably isn't even an option.
3-Agreed
4-It's probably time for Luiz to go.
5-Mikel is gone
6-I'm hoping Oscar's slump was because he was more worried about staying healthy for the WC. He needs to be better next season
7-I like Llalana, but we have more glaring issues than MF
8-I love Cech, he's a legend at Chelsea, but to not take Courtois now, would be a mistake. He won't keep going on loan. It's time to move on.
9-Get rid of all 3 IMO

Then sell Courtois. He's worth stupid money and there are stupid clubs who would pay said fee. You don't just push out Cech. You don't just push out Terry. You don't just push out legends.

Courtois will be paid handsomely and will be loaned to a club that he is apparently very fond of. Cech goes no where until he's ready or his form slides. Neither has happened yet.

I understand what you are saying, but I'd prefer my favorite club use their head and not their hearts. Courtois is almost 10 years younger than Cech and has already shown he's a top keeper. Not "going to be", HE IS A TOP KEEPER RIGHT NOW. You just don't sacrifice 10 years worth of Courtois for a couple more years of Cech. That doesn't make sense. You also don't have to push Cech out, you give him the option to stay on and play less.

Tell me with a straight face that Courtois is better than Cech right now and will be better next year.

If not he goes out on loan or you cash in on him. What sort of stupid fee do you think you get for him from RM, Barca, PSG? More than he's worth, I guarantee you that.

Petr is 31 years old. People act like he's some sort of Dinosaur. 31 is not old at all for a keeper. shite, Buffon is 36. Van Der Sar retired when he was 40. Petr has a lot left in the tank.

We're sitting on a gold mine with Courtois. I'm of the opinion that he should be sold. I know we all like shiny, new toys like Thibaut, and I think he has fantastic potential, but he's a luxury item and should be cashed in on.

Not a glaring need but to have an English 18 year old LB who grew up a Chelsea supporter and can step in and play there for us for 10 years would be awesome. Plus it would piss off United. I def think we should do whatever we can to make it happen.

The beauty is we can easily afford to loan him back to S'hampton or whoever for a year or even two if we wanted.

But ultimately Ivan is going to get too old to keep playing RB and Azpi is going to slide back to the right side, assuming he's still here, and Shaw would slide right in his place on the left.

I love Cech so much and he's still very good but I was really impressed with Courtois. Gotta get him to sign a new long term deal before making that move though imo.

The other "big name striker" has to be Lukaku.
