What's a good dish? How are the filets and NY strips?

One of the worst steaks I've ever had. People always talk them up on here, but I've yet to hear anything good about the actual steaks.

Apps are mostly very solid, my favorite being the Stroubes roll. The bisque is above average. The duck is good, as are the scallops.

I've never had the steak there, so I can't help you if your heart is set on a slab of meat.

I eat there every month or so. I find the food there is consistently solid. Me and my so usually just split a bunch of apps though. I got the steak about a year ago. I thought it was good. Cooked to temp. Seasoned appropriately. Nothing out of this world. One of the better food choices in BR

It's no longer a steak-centric place FWIW. Haven't been in a few months but have always been satisfied.

Try their special on any given night. It's always fantastic. They do have a new chef, but supposedly it's someone who's been there for a long time and my waiter told me he's "classically trained in Italy." I've personally found that the food quality has increased the last few times I've gone. Stroubes roll is always money and I know that it's hard to order a pork chop at a fine dining establishment, but it's definitely the best one I've ever had!

Crawfish Mac and cheese was good. The filet, not so much. There are only 3 steaks on the menu. 6 and 9 oz filet and a ribeye that's all.
