Watch the evolution of Tiger Woods’ golf swing from 1978 to present day

quote:

You know you're a pretty famous golfer when fans can get footage of your golf swing when you were just 3-years-old, but that is Tiger Woods in a nutshell.
A golfer out of the womb, Tiger has been filmed just about every possible way, and thanks to Adam Sarson's great GIF you see above, we have them all smashed together in one unique view.
Tiger's golf swing started off as just an aggressive swipe at the golf ball (you'll notice that image from 1994 is when Tiger was playing in the U.S. Amateur at TPC Sawgrass), and his swing continued to evolve as his instructors changed.
I love how you can visibly see the difference between what he was doing with Butch Harmon, Hank Haney and now Sean Foley. But no matter which window you view, it's still a pretty incredible move at the ball.

This might be one of the coolest threads ever on the MSB.

Great GIF. 2004 and 2013 are completely different.

97 back swing looks to be the shortest.

He's really slumped over in 2004

Hitting a wedge shot. More knee flex.

How about that hat?

In all of his swings from 1994 to the present, the shaft never gets to parallel at the top of his backswing.

I need to remember that because my swing gets loooooooong at the top.

I like the 2000 the best. 2004 looks the worst - too laid off at the top.

But he does keep his head the stillest (is that a word) in '78
