I've always read that UT & the aggies are swimming in oil & gas royalty revenues, making each one of the richest schools in the country. For UT, above & beyond any ESPN money. And in UT's case, the league has been watered down with all the defections, the quality of which has not been made up by the new teams in my opinion. I presume that UT has above average sports facilities, especially in baseball & football, so...financial strength, so so competition, good facilities, what is the problem??

Seems like something is going on, but its gonna happen to everyone. Ups and downs. Can't win for ever. shite, you can put it right on the QB if you want.

He cares about the money, and it will take an extended period of failure for them to lose money. Especially with ESPN propping them up.

This is exactly why UT will continue to suck for the near future. They have huge corporate money and the powers that be don't give a shite about winning.

Yeah think about this for a sec.. From 1984 to 1994 Texas football went 1-10 against Texas A&M.

A couple of meltdown years recently and one legit rebuilding year with a good finish in '12. I'm cutting them a little slack but I'm older than most of you peeps probably.

Baseball program should not be where it is. No excuses with such a "legend" coach and the tradition.

i talked to my friend who is a big UT fan and he blames the AD. Says the AD and Mack Brown are too tied in with the boosters. The big money guys like the attention they get from them so nothing changes, win or lose. The ordinary fans who are frustrated dont have any say.

Thats the good thing about not having any T Boone Pickens or Phil Knight, etc. trying to throw their weight around your program.

Can Mack keep his job with an 8 or 9 win season?

As A&M and LSU fans, let's hope so.

I said with all my fingers and toes crossed

I don't think they will hire another McWilliams or Mackovic when the time eventually comes so I'm hoping we can milk this for as long as possible

I don't know why not. When is the last time a major program didn't swing and miss on a hire at least once?

Bama - quite a few til Saban
Michigan - Richrod
Florida - Zook
Tennessee - wandering in the desert
USC - Kiffin
Nebraska - Callahan
Notre Dame - who's who

I guess LSU is the one example that contradicts but for the most part, coaching hires are a crapshoot. Even the biggest and best programs screw it up.

Curly Hallman, that motherfricker. I blame Brett Favre.
