Had a nice lunch today with my daughter before catching the matinee of Wicked. She loves their pizza and it was good. White pizza? I had the tagliatelle with rabbit and porcini mushrooms which I'm a big fan of as well. I really like the roasted goat but the rabbit, even the small plate that I had was plenty for lunch and I didn't epwant to sleep during the play.

But the best thing we had and I've had it several times but just forget to mention it to anyone is the whole roasted cauliflower which is an appetizer and served with whipped goat cheese. It is sous vide then roasted in the pizza oven until caramelized and is the best thing I've eaten in a long time. I will have several reasons the next few weeks to be in that area and I intend to have it more than once shortly again. Try it and enjoy it. I believe next time I'll have it only, it's that good.

I can't agree more about the whole roasted cauliflower. I really like their burata as well.

Domenica is one of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans.

I wasn't under the impression it was sous vide (but you may be right). I thought it was just blanched, dried, and then roasted. This is how I've done it at home. 10 minutes or so in boiling water, then under the broiler.

Here's the recipe for the roasted cauliflower:

No sous vide, just boiled until tender in white wine and water + seasonings....then broiled.

Nice recipe, thanks. I saw a video with Chef Alon Shaya of that recipe and the cauliflower is definitely sous vide prior to roasting.

I'll be there for Happy Hour on Thursday. Can't beat $6.50 pizzas and drinks.

I think I posted that video here a while back. Definitely sous vide. Here's the link.
