yes, it's really easy to make.

Taste great on crepes, ice cream, or a shortcake with whip cream.

Or even bread pudding.

I sautee bananas in unsalted butter with cinnamon and sugar, then add banana liqueur and dark rum, let it burn off, remove from heat and add in cream to cool and thicken, then top my dish.

Several times. It's really easy. Just be safe if you're going to ignite it over a gas stove. Don't pour out of the bottle directly over the burner.

If you don't have a gas burner, would you use a long match or a grill lighter?

The original recipe is available on Brennan's website. It's best with extremely ripe bananas

I did it with fresh Ruston peaches one time when we had a big party. Used peach schnapps instead of banana liqueur. Side of homeade vanilla ice cream still soft from the machine.

Melt 1/2 stick unsalted butter over low heat. Slowly whisk in 3/4 cup dark brown sugar and 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon.Once sugar is dissolved, add two ripe bannanas and zest of lemon (just a little). Leave banannas on for about one minute each side scooping and pouring the liquid over them.Add an ounce or two clear or dark rum and sprinkle cinnamon into the flame for show. Add over Vanilla ice cream and enjoy.

Yes. Lighter is better as you're less likely to drop it in the pan.

I prefer to use a firm banana that'll hold to making the sauce.

Have the ice cream already spooned out and very cold or it melts and ruins the presentation. Still tastes good but it won't
Look right

Yes, it isn't rocket science at work. Google any recipe and all you need to know will be there, The only thing to fear is flambeing the rum.

Yes, and it set the fire alarms off and I almost burnt the apartment down because I was stupid and didn't have the lid to my skillet handy to smother the fire when it started getting out of control.

It sucked because by the time the fire department cleared the apartment building and left, my bananas foster was cold.

Now, I do bananas foster only when I grill, because I can do it outside using the coals for heat.

Bananas Foster was invented by Satan. It needs to die.
