It's just a solid Tarantino entry. Which means it's one of the better movies of the year but not quite a classic.

I literally haven't heard 1 person say it sucked or didn't like it. I liked it and thought it was pretty damn funny

I didn't care for it all. Sure had some funny moments. Thought it was about 30 minutes too long and got bored with it after the scene at Leo's Mansion.

As far as scenes go, the dinner scene was FLAWLESS. That alone should have won Leo an Oscar, Golden Globe, etc.

Waltz was good but Leo made Waltz/Foxx look like amateurs when he was on screen.

I didn't think Leo did anything special. Waltz and foxx did great jobs.

It's pretty good.

This is about how I'd describe it.

Agreed that it is "very Tarantino" but overall it was a weak Tarantino effort IMO.

Also, Jamie Foxx is giantly MEH in it.

He's never done anything special except with What's Eating Gilbert Grape.

I was impressed to learn, after the fact, that Leo had actually cut his hand on accident in that one scene but never broke character and just rolled with it.

So because I haven't seen the movie yet my OP is terrible. Thanks for the input.

Your OP is terrible because the focking movie won an Academy Award and a number of other awards in addition to being critically acclaimed. It would be like me starting a thread and saying "Should I watch Argo?"

What do you expect people to say? No, don't watch the critically acclaimed, award-winning movie? DIAF.

Dances with Wolves?? Shakespeare in Love??? All very polarizing movies that won Oscars.

Transformers- Revenge of the Fallen was nominated for an Oscar.

And?

My post didn't focus on Oscars alone.
