Leo didn't do anything special? really. I love how people think acting is just reading lines or is easy. Try working take after take with 75 people watching you under the hot lights.

He owned that role

And?

My post didn't focus on Oscars alone.

I was just using it as an example. People have different tastes and don't always like a movie just because it won awards.

I hear you and don't disagree. But Django doesn't fall in the category of Shakespeare in Love or The Artist, etc. that left people scratching their heads over. It's just a fun movie.

Dont worry dude.

10-15 years from now. Django Unchained will be viewed as a one of the classics and one of Leo's greatest performances...

There will be those who said it was great from the start. And those who said it's gotten better as time passed. Thats just the way it is.

I didn't think Leo did anything special. Waltz and foxx did great jobs.
I thought Leo was great. Foxx was okay. Let's be honest, here. Foxx got to play an angry black man taking out ruthless revenge against backward white folks, be them rich or poor or otherwise. Not a stretch, there. And, even though I love Christoph Waltz, he played a German. NO WAY. Personally, I find Waltz incredibly entertaining, but how many times can he play a German in a Tarantino film (answer: IDGAF, keep doing it).

DiCaprio is DiCaprio. He was outstanding. He's become so good in everything he does that you just take for granted how good he really is.

At least that's how I saw it.

Don Johnson...he played a pretty good part.

One more thing: the baghead scene was impeccably placed. Very well done.

Your OP is terrible because the focking movie won an Academy Award and a number of other awards in addition to being critically acclaimed.

Ok, I started the thread to gain some information about the plot and whether if it intrigued me. If I have no interest I won't watch it. I don't give a frick if the movie won every Oscar award if I have no interest in the storyline I don't care. I saw Argo and it was alright.

LOVED it. Glad I saw it in theater. If you don't like black people you prob won't like this movie. Most (not all) of the people who have told me they didn't like it have rebel flag stickers and nuts hanging off their trailer hitch.
