My votes:
1. Jackson Browne - The Load Out / Stay
2. Bob Seger - Turn the Page
3. Metallica - Wherever I May Roam
What you got?

The whole "Running on Empty" record is apout being on the road touring... and it was recorded on the road... bus, hotel rooms, on stage, etc.
It could actually go in the "concept album" thread above this one, too..

Jackson Browne is one of my all time favorite artists. Whenever at a paino bar I always request this. Not a ton of people seem to know The Load Out though. And a really surprising amount only seem to know Stay. I always thought the two were pretty much the same song.

well, they are kinda treated as such... more people know Stay because it's a cover...

Truckin'
Literally about being on the road, about real places/things, and initially was designed to be continued through the years. Add on more verses about more things that happened to them. That obviously didn't happen, but still.

thanks,
and I don't really know what you mean with the title?
does it have to talk about driving or touring?
Anyone one song that always appears on my road playists is Bill Wither's - World Keeps Going Around. Really enjoy all of his stuff actually.

My original intent was to discuss songs about being on the road as a musician, but it's ok if people open it up to other types on songs about road trips and what not. No set rules here.
