and great performance even over the last couple of weeks ...I want in but hate buying after a stock has already moved up a lot ...however after watching Netflix produced "house of cards", I really see nflx becoming the next HBO and having a ton more growth opportunity ... what are your thoughts ?

$12B market cap......that's all you need to know.....Mcdonalds with all its real estate and 34,000 stores is only 8x as big......short short short.....and I NEVER SHORT ANYTHING....I tried to short netflix but my broker wouldn't let me borrow shares

I feel so dumb bc I owned them when they were at $80 in October. Got scared and dumped for a small profit.

If it's any consolation, I decided between two stocks to purchase around July of last year:
SIRI & NFLX
I do not currently use any SIRI products, nor have I ever. I do like the position that they are currently in with the major auto manufacturers & contracts they are signing.
I do, however, use NFLX on the regular as my television service. I use it for at least 2HRS on a daily average.
For some reason, I decided to purchase SIRI, which I've posted a ~26% gain. I could have enjoyed that nice 300% pop, but this is all in the short-term, which I try to avoid any short term moves.
How's that for some behavioral finance?

I mean it couldn't have gone anymore down.
It only had one way to go.

Apples and oranges. Netflix accounts for nearly half of North America'a bandwidth every day. They are using Amazon's cloud services better than Amazon is using them.

Netflix has righted it's ship.
With Arrested Development set to release in 11 days, they'll continue to do well.

Streaming video is clearly a huge and growing market, I see it potentially derailing the cable companies in a few years, & right now Netflix is King. I expect some other players to emerge soon.
Why Apple hasn't thrown some of their $200 Billion of stagnant cash at this market, I have no idea.

You and Carl Icahn. It's been reported his shares have increased in value by $1 billion since 4th quarter 2012. I think he has the first round.
