Heard great things, but I'm a bit disappointed. I'm a fan of IPAs but its got a bit too much of a dry bitter finish for me.

Tried a pint last night. Not a fan of it either. I agree with you on the finish. I'd much rather have Stash IPA.

The hop head red seems better

Exactly one week ago I was in L.A. watching Arsenal and drinking like 6 pints of it. I really enjoyed it.

Sounds like you really don't like IPAs.

It's amazing the difference in taste of an IPA if it is not fresh. I had a Racer 5 last weekend that tasted like Blue Moon. Saw some clown shoes on the shelf at phillipe's with march 2012 dates. Do your research

I got it at Callandros front of store, they had stack of them do maybe it wasnt fresh

Though wasnt the point of the original IPAs is that they stayed good for a long time, hell it took like three or four months to get to India from England

Rookie mistake if you didn't check the date on a west-coast IPA.

Yes and by the time they got to India, they tasted somewhat more like regular beer. Which is what they wanted back then. And the hops act as a preservative so the beer didnt spoil and taste skunky. But in the modern day craft beer world, it's the intensity of the hop taste and aroma that is valued. This taste and aroma dissipate over 3-4 months. Hence, the fresher the better, if you are a hop head.

Palate wrecker is better IMO.

I think its one of the best IPAs we can get in Louisiana at retail. It's a really, really good beer.
As others suggested, maybe you got an old bottle?

Big fan of GF and WC IPA is one of my favorites. Gotta check the bottling date.

this beer isn't all that good. I've passed on it forever in Houston and I was at a rooftop club in LA on venice beach last week with limited craft selections...GF IPA was the only option... it was pretty meh all around...just nothing to get excited about...not even something you say is "good"
