Burke college- 46% FG, 38% 3P

Bledsoe college- 46% FG, 38% 3P

Success in college doesnt equate to success in the NBA.

Bledsoe has proven success in the NBA. Burke hasn't. I like both (Bledsoe way more) but in this scenario it's obviously Burke.

Im not going to go into defending Bledsoe, but everyone will understand when he gets a starting job. Darren Collison comparison?

I see I'm alone here, but I'm really leaning towards bledsoe. I want the proven guy on defense. Who i know for a fact will be a major upgrade from vasquez. I'm jus not sure about burke. Im not overly impressed over him like most others. I think he will be a decent pg. Possibly have a rather succesful career. But to be the next cp3 as some people hype hype him up to be..naww not at all

Anyone can toe the line on every issue and operate under the guise of an Internet contrarian, jesty poo

Your rotflmao suggests you think Bledsoe won't be good. You should give a definitive stance instead of being cryptic for the sake of being an interest BA

Do I really need to explain this for the 4,000,000th time? I think Bledsoe will continue to be what he had proven to be in the NBA, a good backup point guard. His own team gave up a bunch to replace him and they improved greatly by doing so. Oh, but his PER is high going against backups.

I was laughing at your delivery. You have no crystal ball. Nobody is saying he is terrible, but you keep acting like he's a future all-star, which I think is laughable, hence the emoticon.

id love bledsoe if we could keep our lotto pick, otherwise take burke with the 4th or 5th pick and im fine with that too, just get us a point guard that can deny the lane and actualy close out on 3 point shooters i think greivas is a great backup in the league but he IS NOT a good enough defender to be on the court in the nba when it matters most.. i hope we keep roberts and get blesdoe somehow while keeping out lotto pick to get otto porter, this would be FAP worthy

Bledsoe Bledsoe Bledsoe!

FWIW, when he was at UK he ran the point a little bit. Especially if Wall got into any kind of foul trouble. I think he could certainly adapt.

I agree. He gets knocked a bit because he isnt a traditional pg. No rule says your pg must get X assists in order to be good or a good fit.

It's more than assist numbers. You've made it pretty clear that you are anti-assist as an indicator of guard play, but a PG should get assists, or he's either a chucker or not a point guard.

Bledsoe is touted as this defensive/transition monster by several posters, but transition often leads to easy assists. Where are those? Overall, it implies he is a good finisher, but has limited court vision, which I want in a PG.

Frankly, he is another combo guard that is pretty redundant with Gordon. People are trying to make him a starting PG here, but I just don't see it. If I eat crow, so be it. I really just don't think his numbers will project out to a starting PG role.

I think Burke will be a very solid PG. But, I like Bledsoe more. He will make the Pelicans faster for easy baskets and make the perimeter defense much much better.

Most people are talking about Burke like he is proven in the NBA. I have no doubt his offensive skills will translate but Bledsoe has NBA experience and this team can definitely use some experience.

This is also the first season Bledsoe has shot over 28% from 3P. His ast/to was at or below 1.5 prior to this year. This is his best year for ast/to by far, and it's still only 1.58. That's without having to carry the load and bring the ball up the court against the best opposing defense.

I'm just not sold on him as a big upgrade. He could definitely improve our rotation, but I don't think he is a big splash in our pond.

Faster does not guarantee easier baskets or he would have either a high true shooting percentage or efficient assist/turnover numbers, but he has neither.

He is definitely better than Vasquez defensively, but the cost of that is just too high, in my opinion.

Which has been my objection to him as well.

Trading for him or paying him a big contract is fine. Trading for him in order to give him a big contract is too much for what we'd get.
