Its the same guy, but the last article I read said they had two chefs, and I don't remember where the other guy came from but I think it was one of the hotels.
eta: The Warehouse Grille, the new restaurant/bar from Rivershack Tavern owners Chris Keene and Donnie Thomas, will have their kitchen lead by executive chef Donald Julien, formerly of the Hilton Riverside, with Craig Gieseke "lending a hand," reports Todd A. Price. [NOLA.com]

Driving to Rouses last night I saw something new opened up on Julia near St. Charles. Tried to catch the name on the sign but can't really recall ... maybe Cavista?

We had a reunion party there maybe 3 years ago. Bought a keg from them and they gave us like $1 off wells or something. Started at 6 on a Friday. Keg was gone by probably 8, so you've got 80 guys slightly drunk and ready to keep drinking to go out. Not a single other person in the bar but us. Sounds like easy fricking money righ? Naw, they didn't stock up enough cash or some shite and closed the place down like 30 minutes later. 9:30 on a Friday!

Anyone else have an opinion on Dino's? Burgers and Philly's never sound bad, and hot bartenders never hurt. I don't drink the most expensive stuff anyways. Bud and Seagrams 7, and he likes Titos vodka or the like.

Dino's was cool back in the day but hot bartenders can only make up for mediocre food and high drink prices so much. I never really plan on going there, just kind of pop in every once in a while on a whim. $3 for a Bud Light is terrible.

As a bartender, I would of been pissed at management if we closed that early with 80 guys still wanting to drink.
And Rohan, $3 for bud light doesn't seem that high for downtown.

I've not been there, but I know a guy I went to high school with took over as the chef there somewhat recently. He always posts shite on fb, is a good fella irl, and seems to have a decent handle on cooking (he went the school at nicholls and worked in a few places around town as a sous chef beforehand). Might have gotten better, IDK. I intend to get around to checking it out at some point.

Only been there once. Was staying with a friend at the Cotton Mill during Halloween. We stopped by Dinos before going to bed and there was a very attractive bartender in a super slutty snow white costume and her nipple was hanging out the entire time. I wanted to tell her so bad, but she wasn't very nice to me, so I said frick it and let her go on looking like that. So when I think of Dino's, I think of nipples.
I also think SunRay Grill was a pretty decent place for when you have no idea what you want to eat. Their menu has so many different styles of food, you'll figure something out.

I hope he changed the menu. I went not long after it opened and the best way to describe everything was to say there was an identity problem.
