Newfs are shy poopers, or at least the females are. I have walked one dozens of times for many miles and only seen it shite in public one time, diarrhea of course. In Cali one must pick up poop, or be publicly shamed. Leashes come with bag dispensers, and all the parks have bag dispensers with easy access.

This is not a court room.

Public or private, depends on whether it was navigable in 1812. If it was part of the Red River in 1812, it is still public. You just might not have any public access if the surrounding property is private. All these oxbows created by the lock and dam system are public, but unless the RRWC employs a dredge to keep the mouth open, the public might lose easy access to them.

They were on a navigable waterway, the Red River, in 1812. The government cutting them off can change the status of the waterway, nor can the river changing course. The land surrounding them may be private, I'm just talking about the oxbow.

So me and The Last Coco got bitch and yelled at for catching white perch under a dock yesterday. Apparently the owner felt that because he sunk a few Christmas trees under his dock, that the fish were his property. He claimed that it was rude and weird for us to be fishing around his property, and that we should respect his property.
I've always assumed that it was understood that if you had a dock on a public lake, that other people would fish around your dock, and as long as they weren't vandalizing your property, they had every right to fish the dock.
What say the OB? Is there a dock etiquette that I'm not aware of?
Dock owner = prick

I always felt kinda creepy fishing that one at St. Maurice.

That pool is so much higher than ours. I think the L&D System/RRWC was forced to condemn/purchase all the land that they flooded, so it is now public even if it wasn't in 1812.

Well, the gubmint only spent $4 billion on it, so they had enough to buy some extra land.

But your using someone else's private property as a benefit to your fishing
but he is using a public waterway and all the benefits of State stocking, regulation and enforcement that enhance his enjoyment.
Salmon was on a public waterway, fishing structure on said waterway. He wins. Maybe douche nozzle should buy hisself a lake, or build one..like Nascar.
