Thinking about checking this place out this weekend for the first time. Is it any good? If so what did you have?

IMO, the best restaurant in the city. Everything I've had there has been great.

It's one of the few places I haven't been to. Menu looks awesome.

My only complaint is the noise level--or lack of it--at dinner. You can hear every word spoken at every one of the other tables.

Will not be back for the inability to enjoy oneself with conversation........... the entire restaurant can hear what you're saying. Very awkward. Let me know when they fix the noise problem.

It's good, but I do agree about the conversation problems.

I've never noticed the noise problems before, possibly because we talk at low level and there are so many other conversations going on at the same time?

Every woman I've ever taken there has loved it. The place is a panty-dropper for sure.

Very good, fresh hot bread, soup de jacqueline, veal chop or lamb chops are my fav, my wife likes the 1/2 filet 1/2 crab augratin dish, pass on the souffle

just as for a quiet table

I don't mind it if others are talking, but occasionally I'll notice how quiet it is, laugh because I notice people are listening to me, and keep going.

Love the place. It's a great date place and they know how to make drinks. Eva knows her wines and they take care of their patrons.

It's not a problem at lunch when there are a lot of people but when there are only a half dozen or so tables at dinner, you can hear every word. They need to find the volume control on their Muzak.

In terms of food quality, no doubt.

Yes, it's quiet, but it wasn't a big issue for me. It's a fine dining establishment. I had no need to talk above a conversational tone and I didn't feel like anyone else could hear me.

I recommend the Rock Dove. I've been wanting to go back to try some more dishes there, they all look good to me.
