IMO Verizon has better coverage than ATT. My opinion is based on conversations with friends who use att.

I always hated trying to get in touch w/ people who have ATT on game days and big events. I have never had coverage issues w/ Verizon until Jazz Fest this past weekend. My only caveat w/ Verizon is they refuse to use many of the phones available on other carriers like the HTC One and Nexus 4 and they are MUCH SLOWER about software updates than the other companies

where? been in Nola half my time. Never had a speck of 4g coverage. Allegedly there is some black hole in BR that gets 4g. I have yet to find it.

Atlanta I know has it. However most major cities are lacking believe it or not.

I have been all over the country, if you want service in the most rural of places, Verizon is the way to go. If a rural area is likely to have any service at all, it will be Verizon. They have the best phone coverage and it's not even close.

However, if you tend to stick to big cities and want the fastest speeds. AT&T is faster easily.

Sprint/T-Mobile have being cheaper and not as frick you over by changing the rules like AT&T/Verizon.

I have the Nexus 4 so Verizon isnt an option for me. But thats more with the phone companies not having a CDMA version of their phone rather than Verizon's fault.

Wish the Nexus 4 could be on both so that would open up MVNOs for Sprint and Verizon up for me.

Depends on what your needs are and what areas you frequent

Not having the Nexus 4 is Verizon's fault. They pissed off Google pretty bad with how they handled the Galaxy Nexus. Verizon likes to put a bunch of bloatware on their phones and really slows down the OS update cycle. Apple is the only one that doesn't put up with Verizon's shite about the software side and that's just cause Apple is the only one with the balls to tell Verizon to frick off if they don't get what they want...

Sprint coverage and speed is found to suck dick. I'd almost consider going tmobile over sprint.

Verizon is more expensive usually. ATT's LTE is just as fast if not faster than Verizon LTE, but they don't have as much coverage as Verizon. However att's next step down, HSPA+ (which att calls 4g but is really 3G) is much faster than Verizon's next step down.
I know everybody hates ATT vs Verizon but I don't think Verizon is leaps and bounds better. Att got a lot of hate from over congestion of the network because of all the iPhones but I think that's mostly a non issue now

At the Alabama game this past year I was sending pictures videos and iMessages from within the stadium during the game over ATT LTE, but yea this is an issue if you don't have LTE. I doubt I could have called anyone or sent a true text message

nope

Verizon Wireless (115 million)[1];
AT&T Mobility (107 million)[2]
Sprint Nextel (55.6 million)[3];
T-Mobile USA (33.3 million)[4];
America Movil (TracFone Wireless) (23.23 million US)[5];
MetroPCS (Merged with T-Mobile) (8.9 million)[6];
U.S. Cellular (5.8 million)[7]
Leap Wireless (Cricket Wireless) (5.3 million)

You also get better coverage for the most part with Verizon..

That being said, I love my T-Mobile / but T-Mobile is also pretty good around Alabama and the Birmingham area.

I'm only on verizon because I have a grandfathered discount and unlimited data. If either of those ever go away I'm switching.

Right now I'm downloading a 1.4 GB game on 4G

AT&T and Verizon have better service. Sprint has better rate plans. However, Sprint is currently upgrading their network to LTE. Soon to be rolled out in Baton Rouge area.

Hasn't been officially turned on. But there are pockets that do have it.

4G LTE right now in Prairieville off Airline Highway, near HWY 42. Comes and goes.

Same thing for Highland Road by I-10 and Siegen Lane.

I thought that was pretty straight forward, let's try ranking them.

Verizon
Sprint
AT&T
