i know this season isn't over yet but probably the only negative of the show is the waiting. Has there ever been such a long wait from season to season on a show that only has 10 episodes?i mean so many characters and by the end of the season you've only watched about an hour of one particular character. i may die of old age waiting to finish this series

I can't stand it either. Earlier this week I found the first 4 books (paperbacks) on Amazon for $19 and am currently awaiting delivery. Since I haven't had a lot of free time lately, I've mainly been reading non-fiction. I've always thought reading non-fiction was a better use of my time. However, I have a couple of weeks off coming up and I'll be working on putting a dent in the series.

When I finish the books I'll be back to waiting in agony.

I just ordered the first 3 in hardcover. Read them the first time on a Nook.

Yep...then the agony of the wait. Damn.

I hate it but if the wait means a better quality show then so be it. Not that True Blood was ever near the quality GoT is but I hope they don't let it go to the shitter and stick with the books as much as possible. On that note, I hope HBO doesn't cause Martin to rush on WoW.

The two year gap between Season 4 and Season 5 of Mad Men was pretty damn miserable.

The two week wait between episode 8 and episode 9 this season will be arduous.

Enjoy starting the books. I fizzled out on the first third of book 4, but I'm trying to catch up, fueled mostly by the spoiler/theory threads on this board I want to click on.

For me, the wait during the later seasons of The Shield was brutal.

Third book was pretty freaking awesome. I'm jealous of those who don't know what's going to happen.

After Season 1, I bought the books and read them all.

After Season 2, I re-read the books.

After Season 3....well, you can see where this is going....

Waiting for Season 4 is going to feel like forever. I felt like the waiting in between Seasons 2 and 3 felt like forever too. I was so excited when the first minute long preview came out in February .

Don't expect it any earlier than you estimated date.

What is the most optimistic date for WoW to be released? 2015?

I was listening to a Podcast about the books, and they were discussing how his manuscripts are normally around 1500 pages. So that plus the editors and publishers having to cut it down to a readable amount and having it make sense... we'll be waiting for a second.

da frick? Why is there a two week wait?

There is a two-week break between "Second Sons" and "The Rains of Castamere", due to the Memorial Day holiday on May 26th in the United States. Episode nine of Season 2 (Blackwater) aired over Memorial Day took a slight dip in TV ratings, so HBO opted to just take the week off for Season 3
