It had been a long time since I watched it, until yeasterday.
Some parts were kinda dumb now, but overall still good.

Strip clubs probably don't give high school football players free drinks all night, even in Texas.
Moxen's whole family sucks. Hands down.
Lances dad sucks.
Moxen gives a few dumb corny speeches.
Tweeter is the funnest character.
I still have never eaten a wipt cream bikini.

What yall say?

its almost like a Michael Bay Football movie...something totally awesomely bad...i mean, how are there no assistant coaches to take over at the end when Kilmer leaves the game, i mean come on!

It is still a quotable movie in my circuit of friends...

whenever someone is having a good time we'll say..."shite those boys are having the time of their lives!!"

or if i do something nice, my wife will say in a horrible Texas accent..."You're sweet Mox"

these are both said periodically during football season:

"Fire that frickin Pigskin!!"

slurred speach "come on Johnny you can do it"

and of course..again in horrible accent..."i don't want your life!" is still as funny and lame today as it was when i was 19 when this movie came out

I'm a regional high school football legend in Texas, I'm going to pull your academic scholarship to the Ivy League school in Rhode Island.

But yeah, I still love it for the cheese and the quotes. WE WAS JUST KIDS, MOX!!!

It's in the "terribly awesome" category.

And one of the most quotable movies ever.

Mox: "Tweeter you think you'll like prison?"

Tweeter: "I don't know...what?"

As I've gotten older, Mox has become more of the villain to me. Mox wouldn't pay attention during the games and even arranged an all-night strip club binder for half of the starters which cost them a game when a district title was on the line. He set out to steal Lance's girlfriend and cheat on his sister only to wuss out after making his brother buy him condoms. He would screw up practices by running the wrong offense for the scout team. Hell, when he came in after Lance's injury, he called his own number for the winning touchdown. What self-centered prick does that?Yeah, Kilmer was a dick for threatening to change his grades but other than that, he had every right to be all over his arse.

Kilmer might be an arse, but Mox is also a douchebag. Also, Bobby Bowden never gets enough flack for not following through with the scholarship offer for Lance.

Havent watched in a few years, might have to do that this weekend.
Still one of my most quoted movies.

We have a little fuzz ball male dog, everyone wants to call him a her until I give them "what do you mean her, look at the size of that sausage."

Always call ugly hats mount me hats.

It's very niiiiiice.

frick Kilmer, when I dont agree with something.

And of course, I give it a...

Probably many more, those are just the most frequent.

I have eaten the whipped cream bikini.

Judging by the results, I can guarantee one of two things is true: 1. They had that stage below zero cold, or 2: that wasnt real whipped cream.

It was hard to keep on the areas, and the mess was everywhere. Yet another thing in the movies that doesn't work out IRL.

I was always confused by the fact that Kilmer had been coaching there forever and had 2 state titles.

What kind of coach has a STATUE of himself and only 2 state titles in that long arse amount of time coaching?

Reminded me of my football days.
