this.

He has a little history already. I am sure any interested parties have looked into it, it may be the type of small incident that deters folks.

Everyone defending Simon is missing this point:

quote:

Approaching biggest day in the guys life and he still can't keep from acting like a thug.

You can't publicly undermine the authority of a cop. Cops who look like pushovers usually will be pushed over.

This is why Simon left for the draft...les and co told him to and basically told him he wasn't welcome back

I hate this logic. Cops are regular people like everybody else. I dont have to "respect their authority" **cartman voice** I just can't break the law around them.

I'm worried the Tharold is in serious need of a financial planner if his first major purchase will be some projects in Eunice.

Hey Tharold , if you need help seek me out. There are better options to invest any money you get then being a slum lord. Great use of that lsu education to get arrested night of the draft. You need me to give you better advice.

I don't get it, are we supposed to bow down to them or something? Simon made things harder on himself, sure, but nothing serious.

He will not be in the nfl but for a couple years. Dont have the talent or the attitiude to make it. FACT

If you honestly think he has the skills to be a top cornerback on his team let alone the NFL , youre not a very good scout of talent. He will be out of the NFL by 2016 back in eunice selling hotdogs.

He was arrested for what, exactly? Talking back to an officer? frick that. He shouldn't have given that cop attitude, but this sounds like bullshite to me.

Kid was acting like a normal 20 year old who is about to hit it big. He didnt hurt anyone, shot his mouth off a little bit in a funny manner and officer got mad because Simon is about to hit it big and showed him up. Nothing more nothing less. Abuse of power.

Yup. Trying to put this "boy" back in his place. Makes me fricking sick.

Simon: Grow up.
Eunice: Be ashamed.

Eunice city officials are scheduled to proclaim today "Tharold Simon Day" during a ceremony this evening. Eunice Mayor Rusty Moody says the ceremony will go on as planned.

"In the United States, our justice system says everyone is innocent until proven guilty," Moody said.

Well, it looks like the "The Mayor's on my side" and "I own Eunice" statements were pretty spot on.

Still don't think that this is newsworthy.
