I think so because it is following, loosely, a historical timeline of events.

I wanted to get into Vikings, but just never found the time. Deleted like 8 episodes from my DVR last night actually. Figured I can always catch upon DVD if I feel like I am missing out.

As GoT, that's a pretty high bar that's set. Not sure Vikings would be better...GoT is ridiculous good.

Dude, GOT is in the 3rd season and setting ratings records. Vikings started off having to air next weeks episodes on Monday via digital because interest was so low. Vikings also got tagged with the Bible series and probably got lost in shuffle. This last espisode was the best. There were several in between that were slow. What is the History channel doing making fictional acccounts of mythical figures. Mythical Channel is more like it.

There is no actual written accounts of Ragnar's story.

The key points are in the show, including King Aelis.

Vikings is a fun midweek appetizer for GOT, but come on--writing, plot, acting, etc. are all hilariously bad for the most part.

GOT is a different genre all together with a more complicated story line and is broader in scope size and feel, with much better production acting and writing.

They are doing a damn good job based off what little is known about him. I really hope they keep it going with his sons. Maybe a flash forward at some point and tell Bijorn's story.

GOT has nudity, sex and cursing, as well a damned good story.

I like them both and think Vikings has great potential. Give Vikings a little more time before trying to compare the two.

I really like Vikings, but it is too early to make that comparison. Vikings is really well done and has some great characters, but it is hard to compare it to something that is the size and scope of GoT.

Both are a must see for me on Sundays.

I am not aware of another season. The next episode is likely the end.

Vikings is pretty terrible, but I watch it anyway. But it is not a good show.

First off, I need to say that Vikings is a very good show. They have done a great job with the characters, the story has me hooked, and the production is far beyond what I expected from the History channel. It is also a totally different genre. GOT as a show is amazing and the books blow the show completely out of the water. In all honesty, I look forward to Vikings just as much as GOT, but without question it is only due to me knowing what is about to happen in GOT and not knowing what will happen in Vikings.
