Rumor has it they are packing up and moving out, and have already found a buyer or leasee.

I wasn't a big fan of Zee Zee's, but I had my fair share of drinks there. They definitely had a faithful group of regulars.

Any clue as to who is moving in?

Yeah, I live right by there but still hardly go to Zee Zee's or Duvics because of the smoking. Will still be sad to see it turn into another Happy's.

That building and location seems like is would be more conducive to a bar/restaurant type spot, than just another college bar style drinking hole.

Do they have a kitchen there?

I agree. It's a shame they aren't utilizing that space for a restaurant/bar. I know several chefs who would have loved the opportunity to set up shop in that building. Instead it'll be a $5.50 Abita Amber bar.

Yeah. Not sure how long it's been since it's been used. They kind of phased out food after the no-smoking law passed. If I bought it I'd tear down that place and start over. Build it out to the set-backs.

That's the whole charm of the place.

who goes to a neighborhood bar to eat!! most people live in the southdowns\garden district radius... which means they have food at their crib.

it will be nice to have some better tvs for some LSU games.

I think it's pretty close to the set-backs as it is. Definitely along Perkins and Christian St. They might be able to expand toward the interstate along Perkins, but that's it.
