Goodman seems reasonable and has the occasional scoop when it comes to recruiting or college news, much better than Parrish, Doyel, and fricking Gottlieb.

Goodman doesn't even try to be unbiased and just spends his time trolling the bigger fanbases. Borzello is the guy with the recruiting info there, even though their recruiting info is severely lacking compared to the other major sites.
Gottlieb is a total douche as well, but I like him slightly more than Goodman.

I'll be the first to say I'm not a Doyel fan, but that wasnt really anything to get fired for.

He didn't handle it well but it has to be obnoxious as hell to have to deal with a question like that when you just lost a game like that.
As the coach or celebrity it is just about impossible to win these kinds of exchanges. The reporters can repeatedly ask the same types of questions either trying to trip you up to trying to get a rise out of you... as soon as you get irritated you lose.
You can generally count on other reporters having a knee jerk response of defending any reporter asking the question (no matter how obnoxious, unfair, or repetitive) and count on them playing a clip of your response as audio/video for the next 12-24 hour news cycle in a way that will not make you sound sympathetic.

i'm not a big Boeheim fan, but Doyle was just stirring the pot to make himself the story. He succeeded.
