Heidi knows she'll be burned if effigy if she votes for it and she's only been in Washington three months.

This is hilarious to me after all of that talk by the left about banning guns and the far right thinking they were going to take their guns. I knew this would happen once they tried to vote on it...

All it did was cause the highest gun and ammo sales in history..talk about backfiring on the Dems

They're being offered up by the party because they are considered to be in contentious states.

Why? Hopefully, because it will prevent far more good people from getting guns than it will good lives saved.

But, most likely they are on the fence because they are more worried about their jobs.

The difference between Republicans and Democrats is that Democrats are smart enough not to primary blue-dog Democrats for breaking rank on gun control, but Republicans have no qualms about primarying Rockefeller Republicans for breaking rank on social issues. You would think that Missouri's Republican primary voters would have been spooked by the fact that Democrats spent over $1 million in the primary to help Todd Akin, but it didn't to the delight of Claire McCaskill. The Tea Party is the best thing that ever happened to McCaskill.
