Anything really, just nothing that drrrraaaaagggggssssss. I thought John Adams dragged. The lynching scene early on was pretty moving, but once he got to France it slowed down

If you liked Downton Abbey, try Call The Midwife. Bleak House with Gillian Anderson was good, too. Charles Dance, who plays Tywin Lannister on GoT, shines as a similar cunning character.

The fact that you loved Entourage is a bit of a red flag for me, but have you tried Friday Night Lights? It gets a lot of love and I find that a lot of women love it just as much as men do. Some turn their nose because they think it's about football, but that's really only one element of the show.

We really need to create the "Ultimate TV Series Watchlist" for when people ask this question.

Broken down by genre, perhaps.

Lately I've really enjoyed Wallander, with Kenneth Branagh. Watched some of Copper and Ripper Street on Amazon Prime, too. Copper is okay, so far, but I don't like the structure of the dialogue on Ripper St. At any rate, I really like the British shows I've seen so far.

I'd also highly recommend Cracker, with Robbie Coltrane.

I guess I'll ask this here. As someone who's heard a lot if good things about Mad Men, where should I start the series? Awhile back I started from the beginning and thought the first couple episodes were great. But after I got used to the whole 69s vibe and focused more just in the story, it was very slow moving and uninteresting

It might not be the best show for a couple but I always recommend Trailer Park Boys in these threads. It doesn't get enough love on this show.

If by chance you haven't seen sherlock, stop what you're doing and watch it right now.

In fact several bbc shows: I enjoyed Doc Martin. Luther season one is very good

I think daybreak is on netflix, great fast paced show.

You're in luck, OP, because every single episode of MacGyver is on Netflix instant
