Hogs for the Cause > anything else happening in New Orleans this weekend.

I'll be going down there this weekend for the Food Fest. What makes Hogs for the Cause > Food Fest or Clapton? I might have to change plans.

The problem with that is Robert Randolph doesn't come on til 8, by that time you will have to be at the Clapton show. Food wise hogs will be better and it's for a good cause.

Is Hogs just serving pork? Not that there is anything wrong with that. Just Curious.

It's definitely pork-centric, but there are people out there doing other things, as well.

Yeah it's a pork event. My thing with the food fest is its mostly the same type of food you get at FQF and any other fest in the city with the exception of a few out of towners. Hogs just will have some over the top stuff that you might only see at the event.

Isn't the FQFF on Sunday too?

This appears to be a no brainer. FQFF looks like a simple tourist event. Limited participation from major chefs and locals.
Hogs is a major event with solid music and great food.

Head to the Hog!

Went to the Food Fest last year - its kinda meh. Would definietly suggest you hit Hogs Sat and then go to Food Fest Sun. Or, there is the Rhythm Fest at Congo Square on Sun too, which would probably be a better event.

If you end up at Hogs, but sure to catch The Revivalists. They put on a helluva a show. They come on at 3:45.
