Clarkco state park southeast of Meridan Mississippi

I just visited this little gem today as it is commonly used by the hunters in a friends camp an I wanted to see how far it was from mobile and check it out. Really nice little lake tons of good sized cabins etc. really looked like a nice little park out in the middle of no where. I am planning to stay there at let once and hunt with these guys. Does anyone know anything about it? Is the fishing ok etc?

Stayed there a couple of times, the cabins are great. Nice spot to pull a 5th wheel to as well. Great place to walk around. We fish, but its more therapeutic than anything else. You can walk most of the shoreline.

Just travel through and around meridian armed to the teeth. That place has gone to hell.

I tent camped there once. It was a nice place to cook and drink with old friends, but we did not fish. I saw a nice ten point near the entrance and wanted to commit a couple game violations. I held back!

Democrats happened. In all seriousness meridian has pretty much become a crime filled hell hole. I think there is at least one murder every day. Everyone I know leaves meridian before dark now. I think there are two or three large gangs in meridian now.
