In Laplace so I grabbed some Andouille from Jacobs. Is there somewhere here I should eat for lunch or should I just head back to NOLA?

Mabiles makes a good poboy but you're pretty damn close to NOLA. Jacobs andouille is the best.

You should have gone to Wayne Jacob's Smokehouse & Restaurant. They have better stuff than Jacob's on Airline too! I was just ther a couple hours ago to get andouille and tasso to ship to someone and for myself.

Probably a little late, but Mabile's makes a great shrimp po-boy and their roast beef poboy is good if you like the sliced variety.

Fatty's on Main Street has good plate lunches.

+1 on Wayne Jacobs. Tasty food using WJ's made on site andouille, smoked chicken, etc.

+2 on WJ's. Had lunch last year and it was great, and bought some smoke sausage, boudin and caramelized onion fresh sausage last week. Good stuff.
